For those that slog there way through it will notice that we may have trouble getting money for things like gas, event fees, or armor. However, I think we have a good shot at a fat realm weapons budget. That having been said, we might think about buying some realm weapons instead of making them. Alot of our newer fighters could really benefit from superior weapons that our local smiths just don't have the matierial or the inclination to build.

I've also been thinking that we could use the statement, which appears in the guidlines, "Travel, honorarium, publicity, and accommodations for visiting speakers/entertainers are funded by the Student Organization Speakers Fund and Entertainment Committee, which are funded with your student activity fees" to get money and bring people from far away who we want to fight with. I mean, if we told them we were getting a King (just don't say goblyn) to come and speak could they say no? It might help get some of those southern kats to come up for an Iowa event.

Also of great importance is the following which can be found in the tips section.

10) If you are requesting something outside the guidelines, state specifically why you believe an exception should be made for your organization.

Basically this means that there are exceptions to everything so you might as well give it a shot. If we know exactly how much the items we need cost, it is much easier to get money than saying "we need X amount of dollars for this project" and then have no way to show how we came up with X.

At it's most simple: We can get money. It's already ours since we pay the goddamn student activity fee. We need to be taking our slice of the pie.
