I wish you luck at the meeting Bodhi! Since I have no UNI ties, I plan on sacrificing a chicken to Jo-Bue to help out.

well, I answered a bunch of questions from the organizations comittee and then i was dismissed for further debate and an eventual vote on whether or not to bring our request to the student senate who will then vote. We will be contacted as to its outcome. If you want to know if we made it through the committe then someone should ask Ama because he was on it.

What kind of questions? Tough ones, easy ones, encouraging ones, incriminating ones?

I spoke with Ama, and he said the committee passed us.
Now we have to have a Senate vote on Wednesday, but he said in his time with the student government, he's never seen the Senate turn down a group. He said getting to a Senate vote is the hard part, but after that, we shouldn't have a problem.

So when is a good estimate of when we can fight again? In other words, when does this senate vote? And when, after they pass us, do we get to use the Dome again?

Yes, once we become a recognized student club, we can use the Dome again.
Assuming no foul-ups, probably next week.

Ama assures me the the commitee is by far the harder part of the process to get past. We were apparently actually assisted in our endeavors by the LBGTA who wanted to string out the meeting by making some ridiculous funding demands. This lead to all of the student groups being lumped into one big motion and passed rather than doing it individually. So hats off to the queers on this one.

And when they actually give us some thing far below what we requested we can be like "hah you actually gave us something"

Actually, if we remain a school club I believe we get $75 in funding after the first year. The only stipulation (I think) is that it can't be spent on food. Which means the UNI club has the potential to maintain a hella extensive arsenal. Oh, and also after a year the club gets free pepsi products on reservation. It's part of the contract pepsi signed with the school for the union, res dining, and vending machines.
That's right, we're a pepsi school.

Nope. You can get funding after the first year through the budget application process, buy there is not set limit on how much can get approved. Quote: The only stipulation (I think) is that it can't be spent on food.
That one of the stipulations, but not the only one... It is actually quite a long list of things not allowed. You are also allowed access to non-NISG funds such as the Pepsi fund which has different rules. Quote: Which means the UNI club has the potential to maintain a hella extensive arsenal.
Again, partially true. Assuming the budget request gets approved, you could do this... but for MORE than $75.... Quote: Oh, and also after a year the club gets free pepsi products on reservation.
Hate to say it... but right in the basics, wrong in the details.... You are eligible NOW for pepsi products, subject to a few stipulations... Must be for an oncampus event, must be for UNI students, must not be for a regular meeting (must be a special event of some kind), not for resale etc. Quote: It's part of the contract pepsi signed with the school for the union, res dining, and vending machines.
True Quote: That's right, we're a pepsi school.
True.
I could be wrong, still kinda new at this side of the shabang.
