Post Club Stuff
So, we don't really use our club status to our benefit. I just got an email from them with this:

Welcome back for another exciting semester at UNI! So we are not filling up your inbox with emails, please see these four messages
to pass along to student organizations:

1) Make sure your organizations information is up to date
2) Funding still available for student organizations for this semester
3) New ways to promote your organizations events
4) Upcoming events from the Student Leadership Center

Student Organization advisors and students leaders are now able to make changes to their student organizations information listed on the online database. This database is a key link between organizations and possible new members as well as a way for important updates and information get passed along to you. Attached is a word document that will assist you making changes that may be need to your organizations listing. If you should have any questions, please direct them to Pam Creger or 273-2683

If your organization is looking for additional funding sources to "meet ends meet" please consider applying for funds available through the PEPSI FUND. This fund seeks to provide a unique, and flexible funding source to UNI student organizations, and to supplement those monies already available from other sources (e.g. NISG, Intercollegiate Academics Fund, etc.). To that end, the fund's criteria promote unique and innovative programming, and the idea that requests will be evaluated based upon merit rather than a strict set of prescriptive guidelines. Some general goals of the fund include maximum dispersion of monies across organizations and promoting cooperation among student organizations in programming efforts.

For a complete listing of guidelines, please click the following link: ... elines.pdf

If you should have any questions regarding these funds, please contact NISG's Director of Administration and Finance,
Del Bourntrager at or 273-3394.

First, UNI Cable Station is looking for announcements to fill it's bulletin board. The bulletin board is sent out through 8 channels on UNI
campus as well as to Cedar Falls. The board serves as a great medium to inform students, faculty, staff and the public about events and
meetings that student organizations and departments may be having. If you wish to display a mesage on the bulletin board,
email Include the following information:

Name of Organization/Department
Date of event and when you wish to cancel the message.

Secondly, Northern Iowa Student Government is taking submissions for advertising on the public monitors in Maucker Union. Recognized
student organizations and university departments may advertise events for up to two weeks at a time. The required format for playback is
a still, 1024x768 (4:3 aspect ratio) frame in JPEG format.

The submission form and guidelines are available on under the Student Organizations tab.

Continuing the workshop series that follows the six pillars of character from the Character Counts! program, we are excited to offer three

We might want to look into getting free cash from the school. At the very least we can use it to build more loaner weapons, or, better still, build up the realm's supplies for weapons buildings and perhaps even pick up some stuff to run armor making sessions.

I'm definitely going to come up with something to use on their Union TVs. I'll get that going tonight or tomorrow and post it up here.

Another good thing to remember about RSO status is that if you present it properly and by their deadline, they may even pay your way to an event.

That was required. You could not be registered and recognized without that clause, sadly.

There are still ways around that, for instance, if 4 UNI students tried to get money for travel and rented a 15 person passenger van....

do you guys take advantage of all of that free publicity stuff mentioned i think in their last point? If not you guys should look into all of that. I never realized UNI offered that much stuff to their student organizations. Well, best of luck all. Now G-man, get some funds so you can all come to Beltaine.
