I know the council doesn't do much and for now has been practically disbanded, but I'd like to see a difference in that. I talked to Derian and he said he is willing to relinquish his Secretary position since he has pretty much not been able to fight for a very long time.

Sonus, I was wondering if you would be interested in relinquishing your council position as King to someone, for the same reasons that Derian is willing to. Bodmin has mentioned wanting the position but I also talked to him and he said he didn't really care. So, I'd like to "run for" or "take-over" the position if you don't mind, no one else wants it, and if no one has objections. Whichever method works for everyone. *shrug*

So yeah, what exactly are the other positions and who holds them and still wants them? I know Tony still wants his position of Interrealm Liasion.

Yeah, I know I can be loudmouthed, but I'm definitley willing to tamp it down a bit if in a position where necessary, so just in case you had concerns about that... that is my response. I'd really like to get more involved with the realm and also address the major recruitment/hold newbies problem that seems to currently haunt this realm. That's why I'd like to get involved with council and get it a little more active. A lot of the successfully larger realms are such because a cohesive leadership helps to weather the hard times and milk the shit out of the good. So yeah... I'm done with typing now. lol

And other then those that you have spoken to I believe the rest wish to continue with their job and have been activly doing it.

If someone challenged sonus for kingship he wouldn't have to relinquish his position. You can challenge for the position of king if you want to shiv. Go to the NB website and look at our charter thing to see if you like what it says about the position. King is suppose to set out a plan for recruitment and realm growth. That is also what the UNI person dose for the most part just they specialize in the UNI campus.

If Derian is willing to give up his title then someone needs to try to take that over as well. Our real problem right now is a lack of new people to fill these positions. Hopefully we can have a full active council by this time next year.

We just need people to step up and do something for the realm is what it comes down to. The council has been less than active because if something needs dome I talk to jesus and troll to get a majority vote then go and do it.

hehe, sweet, according to the charter she has to pass a heralds exam. OH, that means Jesus gets to do something. Make sure Jesus, that you wear a latex glove while administering.

Yeah, there's nothing too wrong with our council right now, we just need people who are active within the realm to be the same people that are on the council.

Also, I know the junior realm is supposedly dead right? Well how did it work and whatnot? Now that it is summer I have seen many times different kids in different places fighting with what are obviously Bel weapons. I am not too concerned about reviving the junior realm I was just curious... I mean if it was active would it have been a good feeder tool??

Yeah, anyway I am going to go look at the charter now. Probably should have done that one in the first place.... Durrr....

So, I read the charter. It is so outdated (or unadhered to, whichever term you'd like to use ) I didn't see anything about either doing a challenge for a position or a required herald's exam. So, am I blind or is it somewhere else?

It might be an old version. I think to be on the council at all you need to be able to pass a heralding test.

Yeah, the 'live' version of the charter died with Chapin's old server, I do believe. The one that is linked now is the best we have.

If you look at the last couple posts in this forum it has the updates to the old charter.

Alrighty. Read those. So, what does the herald's test consist of? I've never read the BoW. I tried, and it put me to sleep. If I need to I guess I can try again.

you should try again. Its only like 6 pages and is something the council all needs to know.
