Post September Eriador event!!
Oh shit, NB is hosting this one! Now, are we gonna fall on our asses like we have the past 5 times we've tried to do this, or are we going to actually put forth the minimal effort necessary to make a decent, one-day, all-Iowa event?

I think the weekend of the 17th/18th might be good.

So, we should get moving on this. Even if we do have it on the 17th/18th, that's still only like two weeks away.

Wait we're hosting an eriador event on the 17th/18th? God Damn it. We need to tell all the UNI people.

Let's get your options out there tonight so we can get the planning done tomorrow by everyone who's going to actually participate.

Where: Places? Overnight or not? Types of fighting?

When: 17th-18th but exact start-stop times need to be given.

Price: What is there to pay for, and how much is going to the realm? What about Sunday only prices?

What's happening there: What is planned aside from fighting, this SOUNDS like a 2-day event. Food? Entertainment? Anything?

Telling the UNI people "There’s going be an event this weekend... um... we don’t know the times or where it is or if it will cost anything, but we should know by Friday" makes you sounds like uncoordinated amateurs.

Actually Eriador events are just glorified practices. By the 17th-18th, I meant we should have it either that Saturday or Sunday.

And it was about 2 weeks away when I'd originally posted.

Look at it this way. If we have it Saturday, less NB people will show, but probably more TA (this is when their practice is anyways). If we have it Sunday, switch that.

I don't care either way. If we have it on Saturday, I won't be able to come, but then again I don't know that I could fight anyways because of my toe.

Lets have it saterday on campus. The open arias by the west gym (between the gym and the campinelle). and charge 2 buck. I say this spot because there are many A parking lots in the aria that are only enforced durning the week so it isn't a long walk.

Why are we charging $2 if there's no feast or anything else. I'd say a dollar at max unless we're going to be feeding people or something.

Because you make twice as much charging $2, and you may want to think about a water cooler or 2 of gatorade or tang or something and of course another with just water. Plus, you still dont have times. I like the campus idea, alot more exposure than Orchard Hill Park. Is it okay with campus officials? And just in case your expecting me there, I can't go unless its sunday. I'm working 5:30am(sat)-12:30am(sun). Besides, I'm in fricken Des Moines. On a plus note we have a couple new members down here.

Good to hear you're growing. Shall we say weapons check at noon?

Gorlock or someone who knows, put up comprehensive directions on how to get to these open arias, preferably with an attatched map, and from the perspective of people coming from both ames and Grinnell as soon as possible. Thanks!

Yeah, I can't be there either. (Don't know if I've mentioned it previously).

I work 9:00-5:00.

Eriador event = teh sad if no one from NB can be there. I think Sunday would work for most TA people, we'll just have to do our homework on Saturday instead. ^.^

Ok, so we are waiving the 2$ fee, weapons check is starting at Noon. What we need now are:

DIRECTIONS TO WHERE THIS WILL BE ON CAMPUS.

and

SATURDAY OR SUNDAY?

Someone make the call. If it is on Saturday, we have to know that someone will be there with enough experience to call battles and keep things moving.

This Saturday is Chamonix's naming day/ceremony thing. I don't know which day scheduling the event for would draw more Chamonites, considering the conflicting homework/naming day priorities.
